All Time Scoring Leaders:
1. Todd Robinson 145 Goals- 325 Assists- 470 Points
2. Dennis Holland 179 G-250 A-429 pts
3. Ken Yaremchuk 144 G-280 A-424 pts
4. Ray Podloski 168 G-201 A-369 pts
5. Troy Mick 144 G-209 A-353 pts
6. Ty Rattie 151 G-197 A-348 pts
7. Nic Petan 106 G-240 A-346 pts
-Petan has a real shot at cracking the top 5 in team history in points and with games left and a 1.67 Points Per Game average, I'd guess he gets 13 points in that span and finishes with 359 total. Bjorkstrand is currently 16th overall with 269 total points and will probably end his career in either 12th or 13th place (Adam Deadmarsh is 13th with 284 pts).
Games Played:
1. Troy Rutkowski 351
2. Kevin Haupt 326
3. Taylor Peters 319
4. Todd Robinson 317
5. Layne Roland 313
6. Josh Hanson 309
7. Brian Woolger 308
8. Brandon Smith 290
9. Michael Funk 280
10. Chris Francis 279
11. Matt Davidson 273
12. Marty Standish 272
13. Chase De Leo 271
13. Brad Symes 271
-8 games left in the season so Hanson should end with 317 and tied for 4th all time. Meanwhile, De Leo should end with 279; tied with Chris Francis for 10th. Should De Leo not be signed by Winnipeg and return for his over age season, he could make a run for 2nd all time in games played, though Rutkowski is pretty out of reach.
Goals:
1. Dennis Holland 179
2. Randy Heath 178
3. Ray Podloski 168
4. Ty Rattie 151
5. Layne Roland 149
6. Todd Robinson 145
7. Troy Mick 144
7. Ken Yaremchuk 144
9. Perry Turnbull 134
10. Adam Deadmarsh 134
11. Oliver Bjorkstrand 133
-It will be really difficult for Bjorkstrand to crack the top 7 all time, but that's still really impressive for a guy who played only 3 seasons in a Hawk's sweater.
Assists:
1. Todd Robinson 325
2. Ken Yaremchuk 280
3. Dennis Holland 250
4. Nic Petan 240
-Petan has 66 assists on the year and with how many 3-4 assists games he's had recently, he could actually make a run at 3rd overall, but it will most likely be really close.
100 Point Seasons/50 Goal Seasons:
Bjorkstrand is 3 points away from getting his 2nd and becoming the 12th player in team history to record 2 or more 100 pt. seasons. He has already become the 7th Hawk to notch two 50 goal years.
50 Assist Seasons:
Petan has already become the 4th Hawk to notch three 50 assist season. Robinson has four of these seasons.
Plus/Minus:
1. Nic Petan 161
2. Oliver Bjorkstrand 137
Import Players-Career:
Bjorkstrand 1st in goals (133), assists (134), points (267) and is 3 games away from tying Marcel Hossa for most games played. Anton Cederholm is 7th overall with 132 games played; he should finish 5th overall with 140 games played.
Most Points by a 19 Year Old Rookie D-man:
Blake Henirich now has 21 points, 5 more than 2nd place Stefan Langwieder.
Best Save % by a Goalie:
Mac Carruth has the record at 92.95% and Hill has 92.6% currently.
Most Shorthanded Goals:
Dennis Holland has the record for shorthanded goals in a season with 7 and Bjorkstrand currently has 6, which he has been at since January 10th.
Plus/Minus in a Season:
Andrew Ference has the record at +75 and Bjorkstrand is 20 off the pace with a +55 this year. Probably un-reachable, but he could come with 8-10 if he continues his recent tear.
Goals in a Season:
1. Randy Heath (82-83) 82
1. Dennis Holland (88-89) 82
3. Perry Turnbull (78-79) 75
4. Tony Currie (76-77) 73
5. Dave Waldie (85-86) 68
6. Jim Dobson (79-80) 66
7. Troy Mick (87-88) 63
7. Ray Podloski (84-85) 63
9. Lonny Bohonos (93-94) 62
10. Ray Podloski (85-86) 59
11. Tim Tookey (79-80) 58
11. Gary Yaremchuk (81-82) 58
13. Dennis Holland (87-88) 58
14. Ty Rattie (11-12) 57
15 Gary Yaremchuk (80-81) 56
15. Brian Shaw (81-82) 56
15. Cam Neely (82-83) 56
18. Grant Sasser (82-83) 54
19. Brian Shaw (80-81) 53
20. Oliver Bjorkstrand (14-15) 52
20. Randy Heath (81-82) 52
-8 game left so he's got an outside shot at being the 10th player in franchise history to crack 60 goals, bu he would need to stay hot through the end of the season. He also just notched the most goals by an import player in a season, when he passed Jozef Balej (51).
Unbreakable Records:
-Of the record holders I've covered in this piece there are a few that I just don't see anyone breaking. Robinson's points and assists records are 2 of those. Nic Petan has been an assist machine but even if he were to return for next season as a 20 year old (as Robinson did), he would need another 75+ assist season to make that happen. Robinson was a very unique player in that he was a very elite Junior player but due to lack of size and speed, was never going to leave early.
-Another record that's pretty un-reachable is Heath and Holland's shared record of 82 goals. The game just isn't played in a way anymore that makes scoring 80+ goals a possible thing even for very good snipers.
